How did you create your username for VOX? What influenced your decision?
Well it comes directly from my bestest friend ever. Ms. Tatum Clanton. She called me Lizziekins and I really like it. So there.
Are you a go-getter or do you wait for good things to happen to you?
Submitted by sleepybear.I think i have a tendency to wait for good things to happen. I know I'm a procrastinator and that probably has a lot to do with it. But really is there a lot wrong with being a little more passive then super aggressive'?
When you travel, do you use a guidebook so that you're well prepared, or do you go without much prior knowledge so that you're surprised?
Submitted by Jack Yan.Well I wouldn't say I use a guidebook, but I do look at what I'm going to do when I go somewhere. Unless I'm going to the beach then I just wing it.
Book 2: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Author: J.K. Rowling
Pages: 309 (total pages so far: 922)
Summary: So if you have been living under a rock and don't know who Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling is then you need to go out and buy this book right away. I am an avid Harry Potter fan and since the release of the last book I have been going the Post-potter depression. So I am revisiting all the books again. And after reading the first one again I remembered why I fell in love with the series in the first place. Rowling's world is so encompassing and believable that you can't help but get taken away with Harry's story. The character of Harry is so endearing that you fall in love with him as soon as you find out that he live under a cupboard. Her creativity is amazing and she really creates magic with each word and sport she comes up with. Her world will never be matched in seamlessness with the real world and that is the true magic of the novel. Read it.
So I just saw this challenge and it looks like a lot of fun. I have been reading since the beginning of Jan. So I thought I would post the books I've read so far:
Book 1: Through Wold's Eyes
Author: Jane Lindskold
Pages: 612
Summary: The book is about a struggle kingdom in need of a legitimate heir to rule once King Tedric dies. So the many cousins of the King are attempting to win the crown. In search of a heir, Lord kestrel and his servants head out to find the long exiled son of Tedric . What they find is the son dead and a mysterious feral female. The question is whether or not she is the daughter of the son or not? What happens next is a wonderful tale of courtly intrigue with extremely lovable characters.
I recommend this book for any fantasy reader. It reads great and it is extremely hard to put down. Luckily, it is a series so there are definitely more to come! So, basically, it is great for the challenge if you are in need for number 50 at the end of the year!
So the Leaky Cauldron didn't take my article. They said they appreciated the submission and thought the article was well written, but not exactly what Leaky needs.
So basically I'm kinda sad, but I'll live. And maybe they did like my article and it really isn't exactly what they are looking for. I hope that this whole journalism thing doesn't blow up in my face. But I'm sitting in my Journalism classroom before the class and there is this annoying teacher lecturing a student that was in the previous class about being late to class. Stop the lecture and penalize. Period. Get over it.
But yeah I need a person to write a profile article about. Any takers? We can do it online. I haven't gotten any specifics yet, but it would be awesome if someone would volunteer! But that shall be all for a time. I'm starting to like vox alot better than lj. I think it's all the nifty features and the layout of the site. Anyways.
everyone should read: The Good Fairies of New York. Now.
What aspect of your personality could use a little work?
Hmmm rather deep for a first question if you ask me... But I shall answer anyways. Well I think I need the most work on saying no. If you know me, that sounds untrue, but I have this tendency to do what other people want before what I want. It is starting to drive me crazy so I need a change. I need to do what makes me happy for a change.
I know! I have been listening to it nonstop recently... Their voices are so cute and happy on it! i... read more
